NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Cincinnati Bengals by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
CINCINNATI BENGALS (17)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 25) - Andy was dandy.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 17) - A win over the Giants may be the spark that rejuvenates the Bengals.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 18)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 17) - Nice win over the Giants but can they keep it going the rest of the way?
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 17) - One of the most complete games Bengals have played in years, as they pummel the defending Super Bowl champs at home behind Andy Dalton's career-high four INTs and a defense that pummels Eli Manning.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 17) - Geno Atkins leads all NFL defensive tackles with seven sacks this season. He led all tackles in 2011 as well with 7 ½.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 18) - Next time I want an analysis of an opposing defense I'm consulting A.J. Green.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 16) - Little margin for error the rest of the way, despite trouncing the Giants.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 16) - They finally beat a playoff caliber team in the Andy Dalton era. As Marvin Lewis said "it's one game, now we have to go out and do it again." The Bengals did a very good job of protecting Dalton from the Giant pass rush.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 19) - The Bengals unleashed some frustration on the defending champion Giants and were impressive in doing so!
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 19) - Following four straight losses, Bengals fans had jumped off the bandwagon so quickly that not even a matchup against the defending Super Bowl champion could generate a sellout to lift the local television blackout. Had the locals known the 2012 Bengals would play their best game in a 31-13 romp over the New York Giants, it would have been the hottest ticket of the season.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 16) - After beating the Giants, they have a chance to go on a roll with games against the Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers, Cowboys and Eagles.
