NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the San Diego Chargers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 18) - Division done. Must scratch for wild card.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 19) - Philip Rivers isn't playing well enough to save Norv Turner's job.

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 19) - Time is running out for A.J. and Norv.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 23) - Is Philip Rivers really a descending player? The evidence is hard to ignore. Maybe a change of coaches next season will signal an eventual rebirth. The Chargers can only hope.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 21) - At 4-6, the Chargers are the worst second-place team in the NFL. San Diego has lost two in a row to fall under .500.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 21) - The countdown is on, and it's not for the playoffs. Good luck selling out those last four home games, guys.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 18) - Philip Rivers keeps forcing the issue and it's not a pretty sight.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 19) - What a frustrating season for all concerned in San Diego. Changes probably coming at the end of the season. Philip Rivers has to find his game and return to the great deep ball thrower and efficient QB.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 20) - Can you imagine if they had closed the deal in their first game against the Broncos? This whole season might look different for the Chargers and Broncos.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 21) - Poor blocking + Philip Rivers turnovers = No playoffs.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 24) - Remember when the Chargers always had an offense that could put up big numbers? Not anymore.
