NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the San Diego Chargers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 19) - Giving Norv Turner the game ball a class move.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 21) - They remain a tease under Norv Turner. Good wins, baffling losses.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 23)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 18) - Still fighting to the finish despite the inevitable for Norv and the coaching staff.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 23) - As the saying goes, the 15th time's the charm. San Diego beats the Stillers in Pittsburgh for the first time in 15 regular-season visits, this just days after a report that said Norv Turner is out after the season.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 22) - The Chargers have scored an NFL-runner-up six defensive touchdowns but have little to show for them - a disappointing 5-8 record.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 23) - If only Norv Turner could coach the rest of the season as he does in December.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 19) - For one afternoon in Pittsburgh, they looked like a playoff team.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 23) - The win on the road last week against the Steelers was the first regular-season win in Pittsburgh in 15 tries. Why couldn't the team play like that every week?

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 20) - Where has that been all year? I'm sure that is exactly what Norv Turner is thinking.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 22) - Norv Turner is almost certainly on his way out as Chargers coach, but a 34-24 upset of Pittsburgh proved his team hasn't stopped playing hard for him.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 22) - It might be too late to save jobs, but that was an impressive effort by Norv Turner and the Chargers Sunday.
