NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Kansas City Chiefs by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (30)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 30) - Romeo Crennel's class and Brady Quinn's words win the week.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 27) - Have to feel for this franchise, dealing with a tragic situation.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 32)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 31) - Don't know how they played let alone won after the tragedy that took place over the weekend.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 30) - Football the least important part of an extraordinarily difficult time for a Chiefs' team dealing with Jovan Belcher's murder-suicide. Amazing how well they kept it together on Sunday against the Panthers.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 31) - In recent years the 2-10 Chiefs have doled out $117 million in contracts to QB Matt Cassel (2009), WR Steve Breaston (2011) and CB Stanford Routt (2012). Routt's already been cut, Cassel rides the bench and Breaston is a weekly inactive.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 31) - Seldom has a home victory been more satisfying or more welcome.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 30) - Out of unspeakable tragedy, the Chiefs bonded together.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 30) - I have the greatest respect for Romeo Crennel and the job he did this entire weekend in impossible conditions. I have new-found appreciation for the character Brady Quinn and his teammates demonstrated.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 31) - God bless them all.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 31) - The Chiefs responded valiantly in the face of tragedy in last Sunday's 27-21 win over Carolina.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 32) - Emotion can carry this team only so far. They will have to earn their next victory.
