NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Dallas Cowboys by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
DALLAS COWBOYS (19)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 14) - Little things equal big losses.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 18) - This team makes too many mistakes on the field, and on the sidelines.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 20)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 18) - Heat is being turned up on that entire staff after losing four of last five.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 15) - Sign of the times: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had to bang on his own team's locker room door to gain entrance after Sunday night's loss to the Falcons.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 20) - The 3-5 Cowboys have played four playoff contenders in their last five games and lost to all four: the Bears, Ravens, Giants and Falcons.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 17) - Tell the Ewings to pump some of that oil over to the Cowboys. Their offense is running on empty.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 19) - Take away their gabby owner and the Cowboys would be irrelevant.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 19) - It's tough to figure out the Cowboys. At times they look overrated and the season is slipping away. I'm not sure they can rally the players and get on a run. They do face the Eagles this week who have their own issues.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 16) - A tough draw for the Cowboys the last two weeks with the Giants and the Falcons. This is a team capable of making a run, but it has to start now.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 21) - Jerry Jones got locked out of the locker room following last Sunday's loss to Atlanta. The next step: Dallas being locked out of the playoffs for a third consecutive season.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 20) - Is a strong finish ahead? The Cowboys' opponents in the second half have a 25-44 record.
