NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Philadelphia Eagles by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (20)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 15) - This last month a complete surprise . the wrong way.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 20) - It looks too late for Andy Reid. Clearly, he is running out of answers.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 21)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 19) - A sinking ship for Andy Reid and Michael Vick.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 22) - Not all Michael Vick's fault this time. Under pressure all night from the Saints' suddenly reinvigorated defense, he never had a chance. And that defense under new coordinator Todd Bowles? That's 58 points in two games so far.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 23) - Back-to-back 3-5 starts by Andy Reid have shaken the city's faith in its coach. But then back-to-back 5-3 starts would also shake the faith of this town.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 24) - There is nothing about the Eagles I like now. They can't tackle. They can't score. And they can't win. Check, please.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 21) - Michael Vick's brother has some 'splaining to do.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 22) - What a mess in Philly! The defensive coordinator, Juan Castillo, was the fall guy for a team that has a lot more problems on offense with turnovers.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 20) - Problems persist in Philly. They were moving the ball great in New Orleans, but turned it over and couldn't punch it in and the defense has lost its mojo.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 20) - Wither Andy Reid. Three more defeats and the Eagles will be assured the eight-loss season that team owner Jeff Lurie said would be "unacceptable" during the preseason.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 22) - The wheels are off this wagon, and Andy Reid can't figure out how to put them back on.
