NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Jacksonville Jaguars by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (32)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 32) - Nowhere to go but up.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 32) - They had a bye in Week 6. Did you notice they were gone?
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 32)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 32) - They will start to win again when they begin to get production in the passing game.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 31) - Let's see if the Jags can take some of the sting out of that 41-3 beatdown by the Bears. They had the bye week to think about it, now it's on to Oakland.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 32) - The Jaguars and Chiefs are the only teams in the NFL still winless at home. Both are 0-3.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 31) - This season is all about one guy, and it's not Mike Mularkey. It's Blaine Gabbert. He must prove the Jags can build something around him ... and so far the jury is out.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 32) - Last in offense, 29th in defense and first in line for the top pick in the 2013 draft.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 32) - They had a bye this week but they are 0-3 at home and have scored just 65 points in five games.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 31) - The Mularkey plan will take some time in Jacksonville.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 31) - One priority for the Jags coming out of the bye should be a no-brainer: Getting one of the NFL's best running backs more involved in the offense. The 25 combined carries Maurice Jones-Drew received in lopsided losses to Cincinnati and Chicago were his lowest two-game total since Weeks 4 and 5 of the 2009 season.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 32) - They drop to No. 32 even though they didn't play last weekend. It's been that kind of season for the Jags.
