NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Oakland Raiders by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

OAKLAND RAIDERS (29)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 25) - Strong effort almost resulted in huge upset.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 30) - Could have easily beaten Falcons. Maybe they'll take it out on Jaguars.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 24)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 30) - Before you can win consistently, you need to learn how to finish in the 4th quarter.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 29) - Just come close, baby. Raiders nearly pull off shocker against Atlanta, but lose it at the end on another Matt Bryant game-winning kick.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 29) - The Raiders have only four sacks this season.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 28) - The race is on for last in the AFC West.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 30) - As bad as the Raiders have been, they're not out of the AFC West race.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 30) - At times this team reminds me of the Cowboys. Flashes of talent but too much frustration when they are struggling.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 29) - They took Atlanta to the brink at Atlanta. They have to learn to finish!

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 29) - Carson Palmer said he should receive the blame for Sunday's 23-20 loss to Atlanta after throwing an interception returned for a touchdown late in the game. He's right, although Oakland's defense didn't bail out their quarterback when allowing Atlanta to march 39 yards in 39 seconds to set up Matt Bryant's game-winning field goal.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 28) - They were impressive in defeat Sunday. And that is progress for the Raiders.
