NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the New Orleans Saints by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (19)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 17) - Comeback from 0-4 start has taken its toll big time.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 24) - We can stop waiting for the playoff run. It's not going to happen.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 19)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 17) - Brees trying to do too much right now to make up for a poor defense.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 19) - Looks like the Saints are done after getting blown out against the Giants. Just a horrid stretch for Drew Brees, who has only one touchdown and seven INTs in his last two games.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 21) - Drew Brees has thrown nine interceptions in his last three games. His 18 interceptions through 13 games already match his career high.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 19) - OK, so the Saints' defense stinks. I get that. But what in the world is going on with Drew Brees?

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 21) - If Drew Brees threw against his own defense, records would fall.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 20) - The defense was bad to begin the season and now the offense has hit hard times. Brees has nine interceptions and seven sacks in the last three games.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 19) - The Saints where overwhelmed by the Giants. Not their year!

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 20) - An awful year for the franchise can't end soon enough now that the Saints (5-8) are basically out of the playoff picture.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 21) - Joe Vitt describes his team as "fragile." And the Giants did not handle with care.
