NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Seattle Seahawks by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (9)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 10) - 12th man more like 20th man.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 10) - Hard not to like Russell Wilson. Fearless and makes things happen.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 9)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 10) - Defense and young QB starting to get league wide attention.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 8) - Pete Carroll gave rookie QB Russell Wilson a vote of confidence last week, and Wilson returned the favor with a terrific comeback performance in a 24-23 shocker over the Pats.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 8) - The Seahawks rank fourth in the NFL in defense. The five top defenses in the NFL have a combined record of 16-11.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 8) - Too bad the Seahawks can't play all their games at home. Then we might be talking playoffs again.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 9) - This young defense will punish you, especially with a home crowd roaring its approval.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 9) - This is a dangerous team with a nasty defense and a smooth rookie QB. Big, big game Thursday night against the 49ers.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 10) - Impressive W for the Seahawks. Russell Wilson and their receivers are starting to make some plays.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 7) - Richard Sherman 1, Tom Brady 0.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 8) - Now, if they can just beat a team in the NFC West, they will be set. Big test Thursday versus the 49ers.
