(Aug. 6, 2012) Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic will begin its comprehensive multiplatformcoverage of the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens 2012 NFL preseasonschedules, which is highlighted by seven games and extensive pregame andpostgame shows, by presenting the teams opening games on Thursday, Aug. 9. Thenetwork will surround the two match-ups with a full lineup of news and game-dayprograms, providing more than nine hours of coverage.ComcastSportsNet will provide exclusive HD coverage of Redskins at Buffalo live at 7 p.m., which is expected tofeature the debut of quarterback Robert Griffin III. The award-winning Redskins Kickoff and Redskins Postgame Live will surround thegame, beginning at 6 p.m. The network will complete its opening-nightdoubleheader with delayed coverage of the Ravens preseason opener at Atlanta at 11:30 p.m.,which will be followed by Ravens PostgameLive. The networks daily news program, GeicoSportsNet Central, is scheduled to air at 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. to provideadditional news and updates.During the 2012NFL preseason, Comcast SportsNet will provide a total of six live Redskins andRavens games, as well as multiple encores of all seven games being televised bythe network. The exclusive HD home of the Redskins preseason, ComcastSportsNet will air live coverage of their entire four-game schedule, whichincludes match-ups at Chicago on Aug. 18 (8p.m.), vs. Indianapolis on Aug. 25 (4 p.m.) andvs. Tampa Bay on Aug. 29 (7:30 p.m.) The networkscoverage of the Ravens also includes live games against Jacksonvilleon Aug. 23 (7:30 p.m.) and at St. Louis on Aug. 30 (8 p.m.) Comcast SportsNets live coverage of Redskins and Ravenspreseason games will feature complete news, pregame and postgame showssurrounding each contest. Redskins Kickoffand Redskins Postgame Live, will air foran hour before and after each Redskins contest. Hosted by Chick Hernandez, the showswill feature analysts Brian Mitchell and Trevor Matich, with reporting from RobCarlin and Tarik El-Bashir. RavensPostgame Live will air for a half hour after each Ravens preseason game,with Ravens Kickoff leading into livecoverage of the Ravens final two preseason match-ups.Redskins preseasontelecasts will feature analyst Joe Theismann and sideline reporter AntwaanRandle El. Play-by-play duties will be handled by veteran announcers KennyAlbert (Aug. 9 at Buffalo and Aug. 29 vs. Tampa Bay), KevinHarlan (Aug. 18 at Chicago) and Sam Rosen (Aug. 25 vs. Indianapolis). TheRavens preseason on-air team is comprised of play-by-play announcer GerrySandusky and analysts Qadry Ismail and Stan White.ComcastSportsNets expanded NFL coverage this preseason includes Training Camp Daily, the daily half-hour program that providesup-to-date Redskins and Ravens news and information. The show airs live weekdaysat 6:30 p.m., with multiple encores, through Aug. 24.
