- COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Big Ten Network announces Maryland will be leaving the ACC to join the Big Ten. Rutgers could soon follow, splitting from the Big East. News conference 2:30 p.m.

- NEW YORK - The NHL and the union are to return to bargaining Monday in an effort to end a lockout that could scrap the entire season. These are the first negotiations in eight days.

- The AP releases its latest Top 25 rankings in men's and women's college basketball.

- NEW YORK - No. 1 Indiana meets Georgia in the semifinals of the Legends Classic at the Barclays Center. Game starts 5:30 p.m.

- CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Miami imposes a postseason ban on itself for the second straight year, ending any chance of the Hurricanes playing in the ACC football championship game or a bowl.

- TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama catches a hug break for the second straight season to jump right back into win-and-in national title status.

- COLUMBUS, Ohio - Urban Meyer has been away from ``The Game'' for a long time. But the Ohio State coach doesn't need to be reminded of what's at stake when the Buckeyes play Michigan.

- OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Ravens' narrow win over the Pittsburgh Steelers widened their lead in the AFC North and moved them closer to a fifth straight trip to the playoffs.

- MINNEAPOLIS - Timberwolves guard Brandon Roy is to have knee surgery. Recovery timetable is unclear for a player with a history of chronic knee trouble.

- NEW YORK - Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Missy Franklin and other star swimmers from the London Olympics are honored at USA Swimming's annual Golden Goggles awards ceremony. Event starts 7 p.m.
