RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Darien Brothers led Richmond in scoring for the third straight game as the Spiders rolled over Hampton 68-58 Thursday night in a nonconference affair.

The win moved Richmond to 3-0 for the first time since 2006-07.

Hampton (0-2) led 20-17 with 8:36 left in the first half following a pair of free throws by Deron Powers, but a Lindsay 3-pointer sparked a 14-0 Spiders' run.

The Pirates cut the deficit to 34-28 at halftime and clawed as close as 40-37 with 14:28 left, but a 7-0 Richmond run put the Spiders back up by double digits, and Hampton didn't get closer than seven points again.
