The defending champion Washington Kastles are getting close to making another run at the World Team Tennis title.
With one more regular season match set for tonight (7 p.m. at Kastles Stadium), the playoffs are nearing with a first round matchup on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Kastles have home court advantage throughout the playoffs, starting with Thursday's Eastern Conference Championship and in Sunday's finals (5 p.m. at Kastles Stadium) as well if they qualify.
The 11-2 Kastles have won nine straight regular season games after opening the season 2-2. They host the Boston Lobsters in the regular season finale, the team Washington beat for their record 34th consecutive win earlier this year. The Kastles are 3-0 against Boston this season, beating them most recently on July 21 by the score of 19-18.
