Here are some of the social highlights from the Redskins' 20-6 loss to the Giants:
Here's how the Redskins got ready for Sunday's game on Twitter:
The first quarter was a puntfest, with both teams failing to get much going on offense. Neither team could even convert on a third down until the early 2nd quarter. On their first sustained drive of the game in the late 1st/early 2nd, the Giants sent out Josh Brown to attempt a 50-yarder but it hooked wide left, keeping this one scoreless.
Redskins looking to hire Scott Bakula to do a quantum leap back to the day they traded for RG3 #RedskinsTalk— Bill Lennon (@BlenyOwl) December 29, 2013
Midway through the 2nd quarter the Redskins got a great shot to get on the board when Andre Brown coughed up the ball and Josh Wilson was in the right place at the right time to recover at the Giants' 18 yard line.
Gotta capitalize on the turnover #HTTR— ECW3 (@ecw3mdiv) December 29, 2013

Just a few minutes later, Eli Manning targeted Jerrel Jernigan 24 yards downfield for a go-ahead touchdown. The Giants led 7-3 with 5:21 to play in the 2nd quarter.
Josh Wilson is a football player.... technically. #HTTR!— Redskins Gold Pants (@SkinsGoldPants) December 29, 2013
Was Josh afraid the ball was going to hit him? #Redskins— SuperSkin (@SuperSkin1) December 29, 2013
Good catch by Jernigan but stinky coverage by #Redskins 2ndary.— Bruce Fulton (@dbfulton) December 29, 2013
Inside the 2-minute warning, Josh Brown converted a 34-yard field goal to extend the Giants' lead to 10-3.
I was really hoping that Fletch would get a better send off than this. Shanahans; you've embarrassed the great Redskins Nation. #HTTR— Michael S Henry (@Mhenry41h) December 29, 2013
Late in the 2nd quarter, Eli Manning's pass was tipped up and Josh Wilson came up with the interception, giving the Redskins one last shot to put some more points on the board in the first half.

More terrible time management. Not sure it matters, Cousins can't hit the broadside of a barn. #redskinstalk— Mike Murray (@murraymn) December 29, 2013
So what's Cousins trade value looking like now? Sure glad I knew there was never gonna be a QB Controversy here with the #Redskins— Shaun Reeves (@RedskinDisciple) December 29, 2013
The next couple plays were the definition of sloppy. Alfred Morris lost the carry and the Giants recovered, but then the Giants committed their third turnover of the game with an interception by Reed Doughty after the pass from Painter bounced off Brandon Mosley's chest in the end zone.
Yeah... we need a clean slate. Lol. New coaches.. new name.. and hopefully a new field #RedskinsTalk— BUSTAAAhhhh (@MrBIWO) December 29, 2013

Midway through the 3rd quarter, Justin Tuck (who had been bringing pressure all day long) got to Cousins just as he was about to throw, knocking the ball loose and allowing the Giants to recover.
This. Game. Is. Pitiful. #Redskins— Mark Tegethoff (@marktegethoff) December 29, 2013

Late in the 3rd quarter Kirk Cousins threw a questionable pass that was tipped up and easily picked off by Trumaine McBride.

In the final seconds of the 3rd quarter, a short dump off pass to Jerrel Jernigan combined with several missed tackles from the Redskins to give up a 49-yard touchdown catch-and-run. The Giants led 17-6 at the start of the 4th quarter.
Welp 3 & 13. Not very good (with my best Spurrier twang). #RedskinsTalk— Don Hill (@don_hill31) December 29, 2013

One word for the play in the third quarter: PATHETIC! #RedskinsTalk— Stacey Connolly (@StaceyQConnolly) December 29, 2013
The Giants went into clock killing mode, keeping the ball on the ground and capping off a 11-play, all-run drive with a 38-yard Josh Brown field goal to extend their lead to 20-6 with 4:53 left to play.
Ok so what time will everybody get fired tonight #Redskins— JOnes (@EJONES9) December 29, 2013
On the bright side, it will be 8 months before I have to watch another #redskins defender celebrate a play while losing by double digits.— Chris Frank (@ChrisFrankVA) December 29, 2013
An interception made a fitting end to a sloppy game. Trumaine McBride made the interception (his 2nd of the day) for the Giants, sealing their 20-6 victory over the Redskins.
We won more games in preseason than we did in regular season #redskinstalk— codyadkins (@MrFreebird) December 29, 2013
I hope this 3 game stretch showed all that RG3 was easily not our biggest problem this season. #redskinstalk— codyadkins (@MrFreebird) December 29, 2013
