It was a wild road trip for the Nationals, who saw Felix Hernandez and Clayton Kershaw all in one week, then beat the Dodgers in one of the craziest games of the 2014 MLB season.

In this week's episode of 'Baseball in the District,' Tim Murray of ESPN 980 and I discussed whether the Nationals and Dodgers could meet in the NLCS. We also talked Doug Fister's recent struggles and Matt Williams' chances for NL Manager of the Year.

Our first guest was Thom Loverro, columnist for The Washington Times and host of ESPN 980's 'The Sports Fix.' Loverro was great on Harper's resurgence and what the Nats should do when Ryan Zimmerman returns.

Our second guest was Fred Frommer of the Associated Press. He is an expert on the history of baseball in D.C. and talked about the Senators' World Series championship in 1924.
