The Atlanta Braves currently hold the biggest lead of any division in Major League Baseball at 13 games. Though the Nats have cut into that margin a bit - it's down from 16 just nine days ago - the Braves feel pretty safe in first. So safe, in fact, they've designed a ticket sales campaign out of it.
Check out their latest promotion via HardballTalk.com:
Right now you can buy $13 outfield seats at Turner Field to commemorate the current lead. They call it a "thank you" to their fans for all the support this season.
Make of it what you will, but if the promotion continues through the rest of the season, each time the Nats chip away at that lead they will lower ticket prices at Braves games. Or, each time the Braves expand their lead by a game, the prices go up. Seems a little backwards in those terms, but it's definitely creative.
