MLB Hall of Famer and former manager of the Nationals Frank Robinson will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Nationals Park for Game 3 of the N.L. Divisional Series, the teams website announced on Wednesday.

Robinson was the teams first manager when they moved to Washington, D.C. and will be the first person to throw out a first pitch at a playoff game in the city since 1933. He became manager of the franchise before the 2002 season with the Montreal Expos and was carried over when the team moved. Robinson coached the Nationals in both of their first two seasons before leaving the team in 2006.

Robinsons local ties extend beyond the Nationals, he both played for and managed the Baltimore Orioles. Robinson won two World Series titles as a player in Baltimore and also batted for the Triple Crown in 1966 with the club. He and Davey Johnson share the distinction of being manager of both the Orioles and the Nationals.
