Though neither has any known affiliation with either school, Nationals stars Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper couldn't resist the lure of Saturday night's Notre Dame-USC showdown in Los Angeles.

Both Strasburg and Harper tweeted photos from their seats inside the L.A. Coliseum, where the top-ranked Fighting Irish pulled off a 22-13 victory over the Trojans to secure a spot in the BCS National Championship Game.

Harper appeared to have the better seats of the two. The Las Vegas native's photo was taken from about the 40-yard-line, perhaps halfway up the stands. Strasburg, who lives in San Diego, took his photo from about the goal line at a similar height.
