Nationals' Triple-A affiliate turned fans away for tattoo promotion

Have you ever wanted free tickets for life to see your favorite team? General admission okay with you? It is, okay cool. Would you get a tattoo of said team's logo in order to do it? 

The Nationals' Triple-A affiliate, the Syracuse Chiefs, had such a promotion for 36 lucky fans at Tuesday's game and the turnout was so big they had to start turning fans away by 5 p.m. 

Fans reportedly started lining up by noon in order to get the free tickets and the tattoo. 

The tattoo itself was of the Chiefs primary 'C' logo (pictured below) in black-and-white only and tagged with a special marking to guard against counterfeit tattoos. The special marking can only be seen under a black light, adding to the awesomeness of this promotion.

There was a surprise amongst the 36 fans, as 72-year-old grandmother Beverly LaBaier was one of the recipients.
