The Nationals have announced the starting times for their 2013 regular season schedule with an early afternoon bout with the Miami Marlins at Nationals Park kicking it off. The Nats and the Fish will begin their seasons at 1:05 p.m. on Monday, April 1.
The Nats then finish the series with the Marlins with a second game on April 3 at 7:05 p.m. and a series finale at 4:05 p.m. on April 4. Washington then heads to Cincinnati for their first road trip of the season.
One other aspect of their schedule may interest some fans. With the Nats playing on the road for their final six games, some of those will have late starting times. They play the Cardinals in their second-to-last series and have two 8:15 p.m. game times. They then go to Arizona where the first game begins at 9:40 p.m. and the second at 8:10 p.m. If the Nationals’ season goes down to the last week like it did in 2012, fans may be staying up late to see pennant race baseball.
