For major league teams that don't have a longterm solution at shortstop as the Nats do with Ian Desmond, there may be a new free agent on the market.

Okay, not really, but Baseball Reference used a pretty creative way to get into the holiday spirit on Wednesday, releasing a statistical page for Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It looks just like a Baseball Reference for any other player, except of course it is a joke.

Nicknamed 'Mr. December' or 'Red,' Rudolph measures in at 5-foot-3 and 375 points with 10 points under the 'Antlers' category. The seven year old Greenland-native crushed it in the Holiday League last season after three years in the Arctic League. Prior to that he was a standout in the Workshop Summer League.

You can check out the full page right here, including Rudolph's similarity scores. There you will find a few real baseball players with Christmas-related names such as Matt Holliday and J.T. Snow. Not bad, Baseball Reference.
