Nationals, Orioles well represented at All-Star game

Dealing with lingering neck soreness, the Nationals' Jordan Zimmermann will not pitch in Tuesday's All-Star Game.

The Nats sent two players to the Al-Star Game, Bryce Harper and Zimmermann, but the ace pitcher will have to sit the game out.

For the last few days speculation has centered on Zimmermann's ability to pitch in the Midsummer Classic, but Nats manager Davey Johnson announced that the team and the pitcher would rather sit out the exhibition game.

On the season, ZNN has a 12-4 record with a 2.58 ERA. Some thought Zimmermann should have the prestigious role of starting the All-Star Game, but clearly that won't happen now.
