Washington's bullpen couldn't preserve a win for Gio Gonzalez after his strong outing, but Ian Desmond was the hero in a 2-1 extra-innings victory over the Giants.
During Wednesday's game Harper commemorated those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma with a message written on his hat.
Soriano took the blown save, his second in as many outings, but afterwards decided he wouldn’t take full ownership of what happened.
