Washington Mystics General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault announced today that the team has acquired the Atlanta Dream’s first and second round picks in the 2013 WNBA Draft (seventh and 19th overall) in exchange for guard Jasmine Thomas and Washington’s 13th pick.
“This trade brings us two quality assets and with the addition of Ivory Latta, the dynamic of our backcourt has changed,” said Thibault. “We thank Jasmine for her contributions to the Mystics organization and are pleased that she will have a chance to continue to play and develop with the Dream.”
Thomas was originally acquired by the Mystics in a trade with the Seattle Storm prior to the 2011 season. She averaged 7.3 points and 2.3 assists in 68 games with the Mystics.
