The Washington Mystics acquired forward Tianna Hawkins and guard Bria Hartley on Monday in a trade that sent forward Crystal Langhorne to the Seattle Storm.
Both Hawkins and Hartley are former top ten picks in the WNBA Draft. Hawkins played at Maryland and Hartley played at Connecticut.
Hawkins is 6-foot-3 and averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game in 33 games last season. At Maryland she was First Team All-ACC and led the NCAA in field goal percentage in 2012.
Harltey won two national titles at UConn before joining the Storm in the 2014 draft. Seattle picked her 6th overall before trading her to Washington for Langhorne, the 6th round pick in 2008.
Langhorne spent six years with the Mystics and averaged 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
The Mystics open their season on May 16 against the Minnesota Lynx.
