Trevor Booker left the game in the second quarter because of a sprained left ankle, and when the teams returned from the locker room to start the second half he was not with the Wizards for warmups.

Booker had been playing well for the Wizards off the bench, but when he left with 10:37 left with a 31-22 lead the Detroit Pistons went on a 13-3 run to regain the lead.

Jan Vesely replaced Booker, who didn't score in six minutes. Vesely got six quick points but he also had three fouls.

Booker was averaging 7.1 points and 6.7 rebounds coming into the game.
