As the Wizards look to salvage the season series against the Celtics tonight in Boston (6 p.m., CSN), old friend Jordan Crawford will be facing his former team for the first time. It was news to Crawford.

When asked by reporters how he felt in anticipation of playing the Wizards for the first time since being traded to Boston, the enigmatic Crawford expressed confusion

“I don’t recall playing for Washington,” said Crawford, a line he repeated more than once.

When pressed further on what he had to prove to his former team, Crawford again seemed perplexed by the question.

“To who?” asked Crawford.

Crawford was traded at the February 21 deadline in exchange for Leandro Barbosa and Jason Collins. Barbosa had previously torn his ACL and has not played a game for the Wizards, while Collins has played just 36 minutes in four games with Washington.

Crawford's play has been uneven in his 22 games with the Celtics, averaging 8.2 points per game but shooting just 38 percent from the field. His play has also inspired Celtics coach Doc Rivers to call Crawford “scary”.

Crawford may not remember his time in Washington, but his former teammates would likely love nothing more than to remind him tonight with a win in Boston.
