The first look at Paul Pierce, Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair in Wizards uniforms -- with John Wall and Bradley Beal running the back court -- can be seen on Comcast SportsNet in their preseason opener at the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 6.
A total of 85 Wizards games will be televised by Comcast SportsNet for the 2014-15 season, starting with four exhibitions and 81 of the 82 regular-season games, in the schedule released Thursday.
They play the Bulls at 8 p.m. ET and the next three exhibitions on CSN are home contests Oct. 12 vs. the Detroit Pistons (1) and Oct. 17 vs. the Charlotte Hornets (7) and the finale Oct. 20 vs. New Orleans Pelicans (7) at Baltimore Arena. This is the second year in a row that the Wizards will play the Baltimore Classic.
Play-by-play announcer Steve Buckhantz and analyst Phil Chenier are entering their 18th season together on the broadcasts which also will continue to feature Chris Miller as courtside reporter -- and the person writing this blog post for other analysis and insight to what's going on behind the scenes.
Wizards Pregame Live and Wizards Postgame Live, half-hour shows, will continue around the telecasts with Chris Miles and Miller alternating as hosts.
Eleven of the Wizards' regular-season games will be aired on CSN+, the overflow channel: Nov. 4 at New York Knicks (7:30); Nov. 22 at Milwaukee Bucks (8:30); Nov. 29 vs. New Orleans Pelicans (7); Dec. 23 vs. Chicago Bulls (7); Dec. 29 at Houston Rockets (8); Jan. 7 vs. Knicks (7); Jan. 17 at Brooklyn Nets (8); Feb. 27 at Philadelphia 76ers (7); March 3 at Bulls (8); March 7 at Bucks (8:30); and April 4 at Memphis Grizzlies (8).
