Once he declared plans to enter the NBA Draft, an agent would have to be selected for Otto Porter Jr.
Since the days of Patrick Ewing, Georgetown players have a history of signing with a certain David Falk. That group includes current NBAers Jeff Green and Greg Monroe.
Therefore it is not surprising in the least that Porter has indeed inked with Falk's D.C. based firm, the Sports Business Journal reported on Saturday.
Unless the Wizards jump up into a top-3 pick when the lottery order is determined on May 21 (or the Big East's Player of the Year stock dips into the 8-10 range), projecting Porter's NBA career starts in Washington is a reach - but not inconceivable.
Imagining some negotiating awkwardness should the Wizards draft Porter, less of a stretch, considering previous conflicts ranging from Juwan Howard's original rookie contract talks to Falk's public critique of Wall this season (for which he later apologized).
Considering the Wizards' wing needs and Porter's all-around game, the match between team and player fits. Hopefully that is all that matters.
