Should the Wizards take exception to this from Indiana Pacers forward David West? "We're losing games at an alarming rate to teams that are inferior to us. We can't figure out a way to perform better. We've had team meetings. We've had players' only meetings. We're kind of looking for answers right now."

West said that after Sunday's alarming 90-76 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Two days before that, the Wizards routed them 91-78. West was held to 10 points as the Pacers only shot 35.4%. Of course, he never called out the Wizards by name but it's clear they're among the inferiors.

Against Cleveland, never to be confused with a team that commits to play defense, the Pacers shot 37.2%. They had a four-game losing streak to begin March, steadied the ship, and now have lost five of their last seven.

West is correct, Indiana (52-22) is better than this. Any team with championship aspirations should feel that way. When the Wizards (38-35) were losing to teams such as the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and more recently the Sacramento Kings, Marcin Gortat and Martell Webster said similar things. Gortat, in particular, has been more specific and called them out by name.

If they didn't believe that, and that includes West, then it would be an even bigger problem.
