A win vs. the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday and the Wizards will have their longest streak in nine years. They're playing their best basketball of the season, though coach Randy Wittman won't admit it.

"I don't know and I don't care as long as we keep playing," he said. "I want us to focus on the whys. Why are you playing good? That's the thing. Moving the ball, assist totals up, turnovers down. That's huge for us. It helps be able to stabilize and get our defense set."

TV: Wizards Central pregame show begins 6:30 ET on CSN. Tipoff from Verizon Center is at 7 and Wizards Postgame Live comes immediately after the game ends. Radio: 106.7 FM. 1500 AM.

Last game: Wizards (31-28) won at Philadelphia 76ers 122-103 on Saturday; Grizzlies (33-25) beat Cleveland Cavaliers 110-96 on Saturday.

Last meeting: The Wizards lost 92-89 at FedEx Forum on Feb. 11, ruining a scintillating shooting performance by Bradley Beal who set a career-high with 37 points. Season series: Grizzlies lead 1-0.

Projected starting lineups: Wizards –- PG John Wall, SG Bradley Beal, SF Trevor Ariza, PF Trevor Booker, C Marcin Gortat. Grizzlies –- PG Mike Conley, SG Courtney Lee, SF Tayshaun Prince, PF Zach Randolph, C Marc Gasol.

Entry passes: 1). With the size of the Grizzlies, will Wizards try to match it by using Gooden more or stay going small? 2). Last time Memphis was here, Wall scored a career-high 47 points. 3). Grizzlies aren't a good jump-shooting team. 4). Wall has to keep Conley out of the paint.

X-factors: C Kevin Seraphin (right knee) likely will miss his fourth game in a row for the Wizards. He's listed as day-to-day. ... SG Tony Allen, who had been the starter until a hand injury, is coming off the bench behind Lee.

Around the bend: The Wizards will practice Tuesday at Verizon Center, shoot around Wednesday morning and then play the Utah Jazz (CSN, 7).
