Knicks guard J.R. Smith is no stranger to being fined by the NBA, but this is a first.

Smith was docked $50,000 on Wednesday for untying players' shoes while waiting to rebound free throws. He did it to Shawn Marion on Sunday, Dwight Howard on Friday and Greg Monroe on Tuesday. The first earned a warning from the league, but then he did it at least two more times.

That's a lot of money for a little gamesmanship - or cheating, depending on how you look at it - but you can't say he wasn't warned.
