Marcin Gortat practiced fully Thursday, but he rushed out of Verizon Center to get an MRI on his back. The test is being called just "precautionary" by the Wizards and it shouldn't keep him out of Friday's must-win game vs. the Indiana Pacers (CSN, 7 p.m. ET).

Gortat missed a game at the Portland Trail Blazers last week because of a sore back as he wasn't able to finish pregame warmups, but after getting treatment in Los Angeles he was able to return to action.

Gortat played 30 minutes in Wednesday's 99-93 loss to the Phoenix Suns, getting 17 points and five rebounds and not showing any visible signs of injury.

Bradley Beal practiced fully after getting a hip pointer vs. Phoenix. Nene (left knee) went through non-contact drill with team athletic trainers.

With the East playoff race tightening, the Wizards (36-35) can't afford to lose another body, especially in the low post.
