Once again, the Pistons toppled the Wizards.

Washington will enter the NBA Draft lottery in the No. 8 position after losing a tiebreaking draw to Detroit, the NBA announced on Friday. The teams ended the season with identical 29-53 records, though the Pistons swept the four-game season series.

The Wizards now have a 3.5 percent chance of landing the overall No. 1 selection compared to Detroit's 3.6. If there is no change in the draft order, Washington will have the eighth overall pick. The Wizards can pick no lower than 11th.

Washington owns two second-round picks, its own at No. 37 and No. 54 acquired from the New York Knicks.

The actual NBA lottery drawing will be held on May 21. The NBA Draft takes place on June 27.

*Gonzaga forward Kelly Olynyk announced on Friday he will enter the NBA Draft. The potential lottery pick averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in his breakout season for the Bulldogs. The 7-footer who shot 63 percent from the field offers the type of athleticism and shooting touch the Wizards are seeking for the frontcourt, but ranks outside the top-10 prospects according to DraftExpress.com
