Training camp is getting closer, but until the Wizards start lacing them up for practices, there isn't much news out there locally or across the NBA. Still, we managed to cobble together some links focusing on the Wizards and those who used to call the Verizon Center home...Not sure we have context about thisJohn Wall photo from his own Instagram account. That just gave my Las Vegas Summer League pal Kyle Weidie over at TruthAboutIt.net license to create some.Raise your hand if you thought Mike Miller's seven 3-pointers in Game 5 of last season's NBA finals was the last we wouldsee of the oft-injured NBA shooter. According to the scruffy man himself, not only isMiller coming back but he'll be readyfor Miami's training camp. (Sun-Sentinel)Among the notable free agents still looking for a gig, ex-Wizard Josh Howard, who spent last season in Utah. One report suggets the veteran small forward could return to the Jazz, but I kind of like him in San Antonio, which works out well since Howard reportedly visited with the Spurs on Monday. (ProBasketballTalk)The Wizards are not the only Eastern Conference team on the upswing -- or so they hope -- entering the 2012-13 campaign. The optimism in Philadelphia stems from the acquisition of Andrew Bynum plus the projected improvement from young guards Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner. Let's call adding Nick Young to the 76ers'equation a yet to be determined variable. (ProBasketballTalk)And in non-Wizards related stuff...Dwight Howard blames much of his leaving Orlando fiasco on wanting everyone to love him. Kids, that's what you call spin. (Yahoo)
