Free agent forward Anthony Tolliver to the Wizards? Is that buzz still kicking despite the team being nine deep up front?
According to this FOXSports writer's tweet, the Wizards are indeed one of five squads in the mix for the 6-foot-8 power forward. Hmmm, label me highly skeptical, though admittedlythe addition of Martell Webster was a touch surprising considering the Wizards frontcourt depth and small forward options.
At least in that case, the roster needed another shooter, but it's hard to fathom where Tolliver fits in. Unless Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld hasa trade in the works, signinganother forward would be a true stunner.Even though the reports of Andray Blatche signing with the Nets have not been publicly confirmed by the team or player and there is at least outlet saying it's not done yet, apparently John Lucas thinks it's a done deal. Seeing as Blatche spent the summer training with the ex-NBA point guard so he might have some insight, perhaps. (ProBasketballTalk)Interesting data regarding the importance of making 3's and taking wise shots from beyond the arc - which further illustrates why the Wizards drafted Bradley Beal, signed Webster and kept Cartier Martin. (SBNation)This is no rookie hazing, but Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is back carrying bags and doing grunt work - as an intern for GQ magazine during Fashion Week.Orlando Magic owner Rich DeVos is recovering after suffering whatis described as a mild stroke last month. (Associated Press)Justin Timberlake may be bringing sexy back to the Memphis Grizzlies ownership box. (ProBasketballTalk)
