Just this morning I posted this about Nene's first game in the Olympics."I have yet to go back and watch more than highlights from Brazil's win over Australia, but outside of seeing how Nene fits in with his team's interior bigs, all we want is him to emerge from London healthy."As for that "healthy" thing, unbeknownst to me, Rick Maese, covering thegames from London for the Washington Post wrote this following Brazil's win on Sunday.Nene walked with a slight limp after the game. The plantar fasciitis that bothered him at times last season has flared up, he said. When the ball goes up, I forget about that, though, Nene said.Yeesh. He might forget about the injury, but it reminds us that questions regarding the29-year-old center's health remain. There is no discounting his positive impact on the Wizards following the trade deadline deal, but Nene missed a string of games last season- 11 overall -with the foot issue. Injuries were reportedly among the reasons - along with his hefty contract - that the Denver Nuggets parted ways with the center in the first place. No need to panic or anything, just something to keep an eye on.Nene next walks onto the court - hopefully without a limp - on Tuesday when Brazil takes on host nation Great Britain(11:45 a.m ET, NBC Basketball channel).(HT Kyle Weidie)
