Nene is dealing with a sore right Achilles, and his ability to play was in question going into Monday night's game vs. the Orlando Magic (CSN, 7 p.m. ET).

He said after shootaround at Verizon Center that he would play through the pain. Nene missed a game Friday at the Indiana Pacers.

"I don't know how good," Nene said, "but I'm going to play. I need to take care of the thing before I get tendinitis. It's not easy but I do what I can do. Get treatment, skip shootaround, watch. .. It's a sacrifice."

Fortunately for him, the Wizards (8-9) only have two games this week and next. They just completed two stretches of four games in five days.

"The schedule is going to be more flexible to us to do what we need to do," Nene said. "All the players are going to start to feel better. We'll have a couple players back, too."
