The last time Trevor Ariza played a full game was two weeks ago, when he made 10 of 17 shots in a loss at the Dallas Mavericks.
The Wizards have gone 2-2 without him entering Saturday's game vs. the New York Knicks at Verizon Center (CSN, 7 p.m. ET). Martell Webster has started in his place.
Ariza pulled his right hamstring in a game, had an MRI that didn't didn't reveal any structural damage and it has responded well to treatment. He hasn't practiced since the injury.
Although his three-point shooting and ability to defend will be missed against Carmelo Anthony tonight, it shouldn't take long for Ariza to re-appear. The swelling has gone down in the leg and he isn't favoring it. Coach Randy Wittman is hopeful that he can practice Monday.
Al Harrington (right knee soreness) still is unavailable.
The Wizards' next game is Tuesday vs. the Los Angeles Lakers (CSN, 7), Ariza's former and hometown team.
