Team USA announced a provisional 24-player roster for the men's basketball program back in January. Among those no longer included, Wizards point guard John Wall.
That omission apparently could be rectified.
Jerry Colangelo, Chairman of USA Basketball, told Marc Spears with Yahoo! Sports that Wall is "on my radar" with regards to the national team.

Clearly Wall's turned in his career best work this season. The fourth-year guard leads the Wizards in scoring with 19.8 points per game and ranks third in the NBA with 8.8 assists. His 668 total assists tops the league.
At a basic level, part of the reason Wall didn't make the previous cut came down to numbers. Team USA is loaded with point guards: Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams all received invites.
Perhaps Colangelo has a sense one or more of those players will bow out. Perhaps he's simply noted that Wall's doing work for the playoff-bound Wizards.
