NBA training camps begin opening over the next few days. As of now or at least as far as the public knows, A.J. Price remains on the outside looking in regarding a camp invite. One report from a Minneapolis-based reporter suggests that might not be the case much longer.

Brought up AJ Price trying to get into #Twolves camp weeks ago. Well, it is being discussed, per a source. Played well w/ Wash. last year.

There is probably a joke to be made involving the Timberwolves eyeing a point guard, but former GM David Kahn is gone and this isn't the draft. Minnesota already has starter Ricky Rubio plus backup J.J. Berea so Price wouldn't be walking into a 15-minute per game role like he entered in Washington, John Wall injury aside.

Rather than bringing back Price, who averaged 7.7 points and 3.6 assists in 57 games last season, the Wizards opted for free agent point guard Eric Maynor and re-signed Garrett Temple. Price previously told CSNwashington he'd be game for an overseas gig if it came to that. We'll likely find out before the end of the month if it does.
