After two consecutive losses without Nene, the Wizards will have their starting power forward back for Sunday’s home game vs. the Philadelphia 76ers.
Nene was a full participant in practice on Saturday even though appears to still have trouble raising his right arm above his head because of a shoulder injury. Nene hurt it Monday in the third quarter at the Toronto Raptors.
Without Nene, the Wizards scored 95 and 88 points in losses to the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks, but their post defense has suffered the most.
The Wizards also get a boost with the return of backup point guard A.J. Price, who missed Friday’s game because of a right thigh contusion.
Price has been the perfect complement to John Wall, who has struggled with his shot. Price is shooting 8-for-13 in his last two games.
