John Wall and Bradley Beal are teammates in Washington and might be on the same squad next month in Spain. On Friday in Las Vegas, foes.

The 20-man men's national team roster will be split in half for a live 40-minute scrimmage on Friday night. 

Wall is on the "Blue" team along with fellow point guard Derrick Rose. Stephen Curry, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Korver round out the backcourt. Paul George and Gordon Hayward are the small forwards with Anthony Davis, Kenneth Faried and Mason Plumlee serving as the interior options.

Guards on the "White" team include Beal, James Harden, Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard. The frontcourt options are Kevin Durant, Chandler Parsons, Paul Millsap, DeMarcus Cousins and Andre Drummond.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski told reporters that assistants Tom Thibodeau and Monty Williams will coach the White and Blue teams respectively. They will also use five-man substitutions at the 5-minute mark of the first three quarters. Each player will receive at least 15 minutes. 

The FIBA World Cup of Basketball starts August 30 with Team USA facing Finland. The group will eventually become only 12 players. Jerry Colangelo, chairman of USA Basketball, previously said as many as 15 players may stay with the team through the final training camp stop in New York from August 18-22. 

Team USA will play exhibition games against Nene and Brazil on Aug. 16 in Chicago and versus the Dominican Republic on Aug. 20 in New York.
