Never thought I would say this but it's a bummer that the television program MTV Cribs is no longer airing. John Wall's new pad would make for a strong showcase.

The Washington Post  reported that the Wizards point recently "settled on an eight bedroom, 12 bath, 17,350 sq. ft. mansion just outside the Beltway" in Potomac. The cost, $4.9 million. More from the Post:

"The two-acre estate has all the bells and whistles we’ve come to expect for A-list athletes: Six-car garage, home theater, pool, hot tub with waterfall, outdoor grill and cabana, fitness room, steam room, tennis court, putting green, volleyball court and — in case he wants to bring his work home — an indoor basketball court."

The Post article did not include pictures of the home, but the website BustedCoverage.com has those photographic details.

As we know, Wall signed a five-year, $80 million extension with the Wizards this summer. Speaking with reporters after the press conference announcing the deal, he said his one planned expenditure would be the purchase of a new home, one that could accommodate his mother, siblings and other family members when they visited. His downtown apartment lacked in that department.

One aspect missing in the new house, no shark tank. Maybe that comes with the next contract.
