Wizards release 2013-14 schedule

The Washington Wizards will open the first of seven preseason games against the new and improved Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 8 at Verizon Center. The exhibition schedule will also feature a return to Baltimore for the first time since 1999. On Oct. 17 the Wizards will play the New York Knicks and Baltimore native Carmelo Anthony at Baltimore Arena.

Other preseason highlights:

Oct. 12: Wizards will travel to Rio de Janeiro to face the Chicago Bulls which will be the NBA’s first-ever game in Brazil

Oct. 15: Lebron James and the world champion Miami Heat will make a trip to Verizon Center.

Oct. 19: John Wall returns to Lexington, Kentucky where the Wizards will face off against fellow Wildcat Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans.
