It's refreshingly clear that these are not your same old Wizards after another impressive victory.
Usually the road is unkind to Washington but not Monday night at Milwaukee. Nene, John Wall amd Emeka Okafor all had double-doubles in the convincing 102-90 Wizards win at the now 25-25 Bucks.
Nene looked spry, hitting big shots late to keep Milwaukee's comeback at bay and he finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Wizards’ charge as they won their season-high fourth straight game.
In his second game back from an injured wrist, Wizards' rookie guard Bradley Beal came off the bench to stroke in a career-high 28 points, including four three-pointers. Point guard John Wall committed too many turnovers with seven, but he made up for it with 14 points and 10 assists, and Emeka Okafor added 12 points and 10 boards for the now 15-35 Wizards.
"For us to come out and get our first four-game win streak of the year and win on the road that's important," Wizards coach Randy Wittman told the media after the victory.
After giving up 32 points in the first quarter, the Wizards stepped up their defense and held Milwaukee's leading scorer, Brandon Jennings to 7 points on 3-17 shooting.
The spring in Washington's step keeps moving forward as they visit Detroit tomorrow night before this weekend’s all-star break.
