Beal: Wizards 'lackadaisical' in loss to 76ers

John Wall and Nene didn't practice Saturday before the Wizards headed south to play the Miami Heat on Sunday (CSN, 6 p.m. ET).

Nene (left calf strain) hasn't practiced since the season-opening loss at the Detroit Pistons. He did, however, run on the treadmill Saturday. Wall (back spasms) was held out.

Coach Randy Wittman originally said Nene would play in Friday's 109-102 home-opening loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Instead, he started Marcin Gortat who was supposed to come off the bench.

He also said he didn't know until after the game that Wall was suffering from lower back pain. In the third quarter, Wall could be seen stretching out with an athletic trainer. He had trouble standing and gritted his teeth in pain in the locker room afterward.

"It's hard to say. I thought we were going to have Nene last night," Wittman said, declaring both game-time decisions. "I'm done predicting."
