Al Harrington on Wizards: 'This is a great opportunity'
BACK TO ACTION: In a normal routine again after spending most of last week abroad, the Wizards are looking for their first win in three preseason games.
TV: Coverage begins with Wizards Central at 6:30 p.m. on CSN (game at 7).
Last game: Lost 83-81 to the Chicago Bulls in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday.
Projected starting lineups: Wizards –- PG John Wall, SG Bradley Beal, SF Trevor Ariza, PF Jan Vesely, C Kevin Seraphin. Heat –- PG Mario Chalmers, SG Dwyane Wade, SF LeBron James, PF Udonis Haslem, C Chris Bosh.
What to look for: 1). Any chance that Martell Webster starts or get more minutes at the three spot?; 2). Vesely hasn't been as aggressive offensively but should get up more shots. 3). Will the stakes rise with greater starpower? Deron Williams and Derrick Rose didn't play in their games with the Wizards, but James and Wade should.
X-factors: Nene isn't playing. He stayed behind in his native Brazil for a family matter. ... Wade sat out a game last week. Coach Erik Spolestra wanted to prevent him from playing on consecutive nights after off-season knee surgery. ... Al Harrington (left thigh) will be a game-time decision. He sat out the game in Rio.
He said it: "Coach ran us a lot. It was what we needed. In order for us to be a good running team, he said we wasn't in shape so we did a lot of drills where we ended up running. A lot of continuous things to get guys tired. Guys are really winded. It showed where we're at." -- Beal on Monday's practice
Around the bend: The Wizards will practice Wednesday at Verizon and shoot around there Thursday morning before playing the fourth preseason game vs. the New York Knicks at Baltimore Arena (CSN, 7).
