Applause, applause to all those involved with resolving the scheduling conflict between the Washington Wizards and Lada Gaga.

The NBA slotted a potential Game 6 between the Wizards and Indiana Pacers at the Verizon Center on May 15. Alas, the Verizon Center already had a concert planned that night: LADY GAGA ARTRAVE: THE ARTPOP BALL.

Any way, there's been some public fretting going on about who would switch and so on. The answer came via the Verizon Center PR Twitter feed:

Essentially Gaga is swapping dates between her D.C. and Philadelphia shows.

The Verizon Center also released a statement:

“We apologize to Lady Gaga and to her fans for any inconvenience in having to reschedule her show at Verizon Center,” said senior vice president and general manager of Verizon Center David Touhey. “We also want to thank her and her fans for their flexibility and understanding. Lady Gaga has been extremely accommodating in working with us to reschedule her tour date given the Wizards potential playoff game, and we are looking forward to her show.”

Tickets purchased for the original May 15 show will be honored for the rescheduled date.

Anyway, crisis resolved. Well, unless you’re a distraught Lady Gaga fan.
